National Vocational Qualifications
NVQs are work-related, competence based qualifications. They reflect the skills and knowledge needed to do a job effectively, and represent national standards recognised by employers throughout the country.

The enormous variety of content means there is an NVQ for almost every job however specialised and unique it seems. They are also available at five levels depending on the competency and skills of the individual.
