If you are lucky enough to be successful and are offered an apprenticeship then the world is at your feet ! You will have been given a fantastic opportunity, however apprenticeships are not easy. You have to complete your studies whilst being in full time employment. You will have to work hard and maintain high levels commitment for several years.
Rewards
Apprentices earn whilst they learn. How much you get paid varies depending on your company. You may start on a modest salary during your first year which is usually spent at college, but this will probably step-up each year until qualification.
Two things are worth remembering. Engineering apprentices are highly valued and on average earn more than apprentices in other industry. Secondly qualified engineers are always in demand and are well paid.
